Final 3D Prototype Model

A full assembly model of the radio shuttle prototype was then pieced together after all parts had either been designed or had been sourced and then modelled on the Solidworks software.

Starting with the base, the model was assembled whilst carefully considering the position of each component in order to safe space and avoid any interference. During the assembly process, the positioning of many components modified constantly to try and provide the best "fit" for our model. The 4-bar linkage, both motors and supports were re-positioned on numerous occasions to produce optimum compatibility and allow the shuttle to operate to its fullest capability.

Concerning the model, it was modified as much as we felt necessary as there was a clear consensus to avoid manufacturing any parts until the client had agreed they were acceptable for his product. We therefore judged the final 3D model complete once we were told by the client we could progress to manufacturing and there were no issues with the Solidworks model itself.

Below a few views of the model are displayed.
